Young Women in Public Affairs Award
The Zonta Club of Naples has awarded its 2010 Young Women in Public Affairs Award to Kaytlynn Petersen, a senior at Golden Gate High School and resident of Naples.

Kaytlynn receives a $1,000 award from the club and her application has been forwarded to the Zonta District 11 YWPA committee for their consideration.
At the club level, this award has been made in memory of Eleanor Freeman, a charter member when the club was founded in 1973, who left a bequest that the Zonta Club of Naples has designated to fund the award.
In her application, Kaytlynn demonstrated her commitment to community service and women's issues as Secretary of Key Club,
Team Captain of Environthon, mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and as a participant in the Model United Nations program.
She has contributed to local canal cleanups, raised funds, cooked and served for the Grace Place Thanksgiving Dinner, and helped with the Light
The Night Walk sponsored by the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. She was also a recent participant on National Public Radio's World Have Your Say
program where she dialogued with people around the globe about a variety of issues, including women's rights in Afghanistan.
Kaytlynn plans to attend Florida State University in the fall where she will major in international relations.
The Zonta Club of Naples is proud to present the 2010 YWPA award to Kaytlynn Petersen.
